How to break out of conformity and create your own freedom

Each week I drop a fresh sharpie marker and stack of post-it notes in my office's ensuite bathroom so I can jot down my thoughts and words received from spirit as I move about my day.
At the end of the week, I review those notes for gems I choose to share in one way, shape of form.
Sometimes they make it to a newsletter, sometimes to Instagram, sometimes to select clients…
Sometimes I stay all in on me, as my mentor says, and keep them for myself.
But today, this one, it's for you:
You are more than likely the most free person in your family lineages, to date.
YOU. Yes, you person reading this.
You have access to the internet, freedom of speech, bank accounts at your fingertips, job opportunities, entrepreneurs within eye and earshot, libraries to go to, secret and closed societies to join, different restaurants and grocery stores to choose from, ancient healing herbs and modalities reemerging, stones and crystals being unearthed.
You have the freedom to learn from damn near whoever you'd like.
Sell anything you'd want. Make as much or as little as you desire.
And yet here you are, STILL afraid of being yourself, speaking your truth, standing tall, walking your own path, creating your life to align with your spirit.
Here we are STILL saying race is not a construct but continually referring to each other as black, white, mixed or... other.
Here we are STILL fumbling over what inclusion really looks like and what labels are personally or politically correct instead of just connecting, inviting, selecting and asking.
Here we are STILL saying sisterhood is the answer and in the same breath holding the energy of mean girl jokes gone whispered, invites not extended, truths not spoken in the face of another woman.
Here we are STILL fighting against the patriarchy while also saying we're tired of working so hard, want a husband (or partner who carries that load so you can just create), and hope bae books flights and catches feelings.
Here we are STILL complaining about they ways of women yet they are who you run to first for inspiration, wisdom, safety and validation as you ache to finally find one you can devoted to and provide for.
Here we are saying we want abundance yet requiring another to give up theirs in order to have ours.
None of it makes sense to me. And not from a lack intellect or social conditioning way—I have degrees, I'm well cultured and studied and woke, trust me.
It's all full of contradictions and binaries that haven't birthed anything new...yet.
Truth be told ya'll, I've always been an outlier.
Connected and loved, but marching to the beat of my own drums, I've always lived and thrived on the fringe, not caught up in the hype.
And I'm growing weary of all the following and not enough healing...or being.
The more I remember this, the more it circles around again and again for deeper acceptance—to exalt—I realize how free I already am.
If you do nothing today and tomorrow, take a moment to see how this full blue moon is calling you deeper into your own leadership, your own freedom.
I bet loving on that will set you free-er too.
And just might be the next wave in a movement so overdue, most are too afraid to ask for, much less live in, but keep complaining about.
